Flyers Sign Three Hometown Forwards

The PJHL’s Goderich Flyers have had a busy off-season between community events, skating, and signing to build up a competitive squad for the 2022-23 campaign ahead. Among other signings, the Flyers have added three Goderich natives sure to have a big impact in their first seasons of Jr Hockey action. Iain Macisaac and Austin Aldrich signed in early June and Ayden Hakkers put pen to paper on the 9th of August!

Iain will serve as the Flyers 16 year old this season after a great year with the U16 Huron-Perth Lakers team that qualified for the OHL Cup. Iain will bring size and speed to the forward group this season.

Austin joins us for a full season after spending last year AP’ing last season where he got game action in 5 contests. He will bring a physical presence to the team. Austin was a standout on the U18 Sailors and we are thrilled to have him!

Ayden played last season with the U18 Huron-Perth Lakers where he put up 13 points on his Alliance Championship winning team. His speed and skill was evident from the first prospect skate and the Flyers are excited to have him join.

The Flyers first home game will be on September 17th at 8:00 when they take on the Mount Forest Patriots at the Goderich YMCA.
